Experts are now saying they expect Kurdistan to become Independent within the next 2 years - until earlier this year everyone believed it would take up to 5 years - recent improvements within Kurdistan's international trade agreements and the difficulties between Kurdistan and Iraq - plus the pending civil war within Iraq - have strengthened international belief that Kurdistan would do far better without the constraints being forced on them by the Iraqi government
Who stands to lose when Kurdistan becomes Independent?
The PKK
Ocalan has stated so often that he wants Kurds to remain within Turkey - which is possibly the main reason why the vast majority of Kurds within Turkey do not support him
Once Kurdistan becomes Independent - the MILLIONS of unrepresented Kurds living in Turkey will start to wonder why they do not have a Kurdish party to represent them and work for their independence - they deserve a party who will represent them - after all there are many MILLIONS more Kurds within Turkish borders than there are in Kurdistan
EVERY Kurd I have ever met - including those from Turkey - want an Independent Kurdistan - I have yet to meet a single Kurd who wants their land to remain under Turkish occupation
