MOSUL, Northwest Iraq,— Kurdish security source in Mosul in Nineveh province revealed on Monday that Kurdish Peshmerga and Asayish forces have completed the evacuation of about 600 female university students from different Iraqi provinces were trapped in their Dormitory for 3 days and suffer from panic, fear, scarcity of food and drinking water.

An informed source said that “the operation lasted for 24 hours and has succeeded without causing any losses, pointing out that they have provided full protection for convoys to transport students until they leave from northern city of Mosul to safe areas.

According to the source, the students belong to various Iraqi provinces, including the disputed areas between Baghdad and Kurdistan.

He pointed out that there were extensive contacts with many parties of the student’s families,www.Ekurd.net stressing that all the female students have been handed over to their parents without any problems or incidents.

The Islamic State of Iraq and Sham ISIS organization linked to al-Qaeda, also known as (Daash) in Arabic, has started a massive military operation in the neighborhoods north and west of Mosul city since the dawn of last Friday, and extended its control over some of them while the security forces have withdrew from some those neighborhoods, according to security sources and observers.

While the Iraqi Ministry of Defense says that its troops have cordoned off the neighborhood, dominated by ISIS and is waiting for the arrival of troops from fight against terrorism to break into those neighborhoods.

Ministry of Peshmerga in Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) announced on Saturday, its willingness to protect the Kurdish areas in Nineveh province, following the infiltration of ISIS to the province.

Mosul, capital city of Nineveh province in Iraq, near the border with Kurdistan region, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. The Yazidis are primarily ethnic Kurds located near Mosul. Kurdish Yazidis are primarily ethnic Kurds located near Mosul. Some 350,000 Yazidis live in villages around Mosul near Kurdistan autonomous region border.

Article 140 of the Iraqi constitution states that there will be a referendum in the areas bordering the Kurdistan autonomous region, including the northern oil city of Kirkuk, so that people can choose whether to be ruled by the central government or the Kurds.

Perhaps they should send the Peshmerga to Africa because nobody seems to be helping the poor kidnapped girls :(
