As an American what do you think about UK leaving the EU?

As far as I know America, who is obviously not a member of the EU, has little or no problems trading with EU

Also, I have noticed that many electrical items appear to be cheaper in US

There are too many variables in these things for any fair comparison.
Although most of these things are made in Asia, they still have to be shipped to each nation, does it cost more to ship to, offload in and then transport around the UK, than the United States?

The US minimum wage $7.25 (£4.25) but higher in some stares. The UK minimum wage £5.03 (over 18), or £6.31 (over 21). So if you are selling something in a shop, your staff costs are instantly at least 18% higher.
In Purchasing Power Parity terms, some of these goods may even actually be cheaper here than in the US.

How much of a disparity is there in the cost of the land needed to build a Superstore, Amazon Warehouse etc.?

US population approx 5 times size of UK, are they making less profit per item, then making it back by selling many more of each?

I would argue the only real comparison could be on downloaded content, because that, in theory, avoids many of the fixed costs. But even that would be affected by the size of the market, the costs charged for clearing of payments, and allowances for fluctuations in exchange rates if the company is not based in UK or US.

It is not just about the Euro. Or the fact we’re having to bailout a currency we chose not to join. From the bottom up. Instead of common financial service rules, we might instead allow competing exchanges to offer different approaches and see which one works. Rather than a Common Agricultural Policy for millions of farmers, we might, you know, allow millions of farmers to each have their own farm policy for their farm.

In an increasingly networked and interdependent world, the more successful societies are those that allow more decentralised decision making, by harnessing and balancing opposing forces. Britain’s refusal to be reconciled to being in the EU is not ultimately anything to do with flags or anthems. It’s because we know in our bones that it is a daft way to run a whole continent. I suspect it is not only the Brits who will soon be demanding the freedom to opt out.
