That's why no one gets along and that's why there is so much ethnic prejudice in the Middle East.
To the Zazas:
Does your slight cultural differences matter THAT much that you have to completely seperate yourselves from Kurds?
I've heard Zaza music, seen their dances, and even ate their food at a lake shore Restaurant in Chicago. It was as if I was in any other Kurdish Restaurant.
Keep this up and Middle East will be composed of teeny tiny poverty stricken countries while the West sits there and pities the poor Middle Eastern people who once were the Kings and Queens of the world.
Parsi this slight difference matters a lot for Zazas because we don't want to loose our identity. I could say the same about Persians! If it that kind of stuff does not matter for you why don't you call yourself a Kurd? Persians and Kurds have a kind of similar culture too...
Our music is similar to Kurdish music and also our dances since we have been living in the same area for centuries.
Our language is not a Kurdish language or dialect. A Zaza has extrem difficulties to understand Kurmanci or Sorani Kurdish. I remember once when we joined Newroz celebrations in Germany. They were talking only in Kurmanci and Sorani and we Zazas couldn't understand the whole thing! How do you explain it if Zazaki is a Kurdish dialect? Maybe you should click this link before you talk about Zazas or Zazaki.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zaza_peopleZazas are probably the early Parthians.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ParthiaKurds say they are Medes
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MedesThese Kurdish people want us to loose our culture and assimilate us like the Turkish government tried before.
Jamo - no matter how SURE you may be of what you say - you shouldn't pretend speaking for ALL Kirmanckî... Because half the Kirmanckî I know call themselves KURDS...
So please use that word when you speak of Kirmanckî: SOME... Not ALL...
And no - Persian and Kurdish culture, dances, food etc. are VERY different in fact...
I wasn't speaking about Kirmancki, I was talking about Zaza. Kirmancki is just a dialect that we call in Dersim the Zazas in Elaziz and Amed say Dimili which is also a dialect of Zazaki. The majority of Zazaki speaking people call themselves Zaza and not Kurdish the word Zaza is getting more and more important! If you visit some Zazaki websites where they call themselves Kurds you can see maybe 10 or 12 people who are active but if you visit a Zaza website there are
at least 2000 different people from all over the world who visit that website daily!
http://www.radiozaza.de is from Zazas
and this is a ridicilous Zazaki-Kurdish website
http://www.wengemunzur.radyosu.com only a few people are there 3 or 4
So don't tell me that I should use that word
some I will use
a lot instead
By the way you should ask these very Kurdish people who speak Zazaki if Zazaki is really a Kurdish dialect or language and you might be surprised what some of them say
Eventough they call themselves Kurds they say that Zazaki has indeed mojor differences to Kurdish.
After some years I'm sure that nothing will be left from that kind of people! They still want to create a communist country
They still live 1980's where Kurds and other groups wanted to create a Communist Turkey or Kurdistan
Believe me these people are loosing their power because nobody wants to support them anymore
