Kirkuk Now

“Copler wants to impose the election” The representatives of the Kirkuk Arabs left the meeting of Martin Copler with the representatives of the Kirkuk components and subsequently accused Copler of imposing an unconditional election over the Arabs.

Martin Copler, the representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in Iraq arrived in Kirkuk on Monday, May 26 and met with the representatives from the components of Kirkuk to discuss the provincial elections in Kirkuk.

A member of the Kirkuk Provincial Council, Abdullah Sami al-Assi represented the Arabs of the province in the meeting but left the meeting before its end.

Abdullah al-Assi held a press conference following the meeting and said “I left the meeting as Copler intends to impose an unconditional election over the Arabs.”

Al-Assi accused Copler of not being “neutral” and is trying to ignore the ideas and opinions of the Arabs regarding the election and wants them to participate in the election without any conditions.

Al-Assi called for Ban Ki-moon to replace Martin Copler, saying “There are agreements over the elections without the awareness of the Arabs.”

That is the problem, they don't leave. As the Kurds say: 'ne be tenan qailn, ne be derhenan'. :))

We all know that Saddam pushed Kurds out of Kirkuk and PAID Arabs to move in and take over Kurdish homes, businesses and land.

When America moved in to Iraq and helped to remove Saddam they should have removed his Arab thieves from Kirkuk at the same time X(
