Exactly. It is a good way, for Hollande, Merkel, Dutch government, etc., to weaken the anti UE parties, like FN, and to warn any other country about the consequences.

But UK won't leave in fact before 2 years (according the the UE rules). At first, it needs to write an official letter asking to resign. Then, it will be a hard and long process to renegotiate all the current treaties and settings…

Concerning the status of UK trades in UE it won't be very advantageous. Even Swiss is more bound to UE laws than UK now, for Swiss had accepted the free circulation of people (except Croatia).

So I wonder if UK will be more in the internal European trading than USA…

One thing is sure, they will make it very difficult for UK to trade in EU. This country depends on import. The low value of pound makes import very expensive, which leads to serious inflation. Inflation cause interest rate to go up, which causes recession. This recession is going to be long and destructive. This becomes worst because now the country must compete against EU, which it can not. The future seems to be very gloomy especially when the case of Scotland and N Ireland becomes nasty.

No offense, just for the fun,a best-of of French trolls on media and twitter about BREXIT :-D

(we know that French bashing is a common sport in England and the same in France, since Jeanne d'Arc's barbecue)

France trolls the UK over Brexit result: 'Don't trust a nation that can't behead its Queen'
'The English already want to change their minds over Brexit. Perhaps they’re on an island for a reason.'

The media are only interested in MAKING MONEY if UK had voted to remain media would be against that :ymsigh:

Controversy and shock tactics make headlines - sadly most people are too stupid to understand this and - too stupid to realise that the exact same media had been making headlines telling UK to leave 8-}

Agreed - the British have been making fun of the French and vice-versa since time immemorial :o)

As for the EU - I could not in all conscious support the Kurdish desire for self-government and Independence - and deny the British desire self-government and Independence

UK are lucky to have obtained their right to self-government, without thousands of people dying for that freedom

I have watched EU laws destroy UK fishing and farming industries X(

About HALF of EU laws go straight onto UK statute books to become binding laws in UK, without ever having been voted on or even discussed by any elected official

Sadly the SUN is our most widely read newspaper - somewhat akin to a comic for adults 8-|

The vast majority of people who voted did so by following recent media reports - they have NO real knowledge of what goes on in the UK, let alone what goes on in Europe

A great many of those who voted to remain, did so because they want cheap cigarettes and alcohol

The uninformed members of the general public =))

Thought I would throw in one of the latest laws about to come out of EU:

Eggs should NOT be sold in boxes of 6 or 12, they should be sold by weight =))

I don't think it is a UE law if I consider the French case, where eggs are sold by 6, 12, 24, or 8, 10, 20.

BUT UE imposed that on each box, a code should inform how the hens were bred : freedom, half freedom, in cage, etc :

http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX:32002L0004

What is a good thing because we could choose easily to buy only organic eggs with hens living in decent way.

Electoral services workers have reported calls from people asking if they could change their decision after Friday’s result became clear, while some publicly admitted they intended to use a “protest vote” in the belief the UK was certain to remain in the European Union

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-anger-bregret-leave-voters-protest-vote-thought-uk-stay-in-eu-remain-win-a7102516.html

Oh my God, that is democracy… power given to a majority of morons 8-|

I remember the same in 2002, in France, when Le Pen (Far right) reached the 2nd tour for the presidential : the same people becoming blank and saying that they just voted for the FN to protest, without thinking it could go so far.

Leftist and Greens were disgusted to have to vote for Chirac (Right) as President only because of these morons :ymdevil:

What about the cult of MP Boris Johnson, the former London Mayor. I firmly believe a lot of people voted to support him, not to vote to leave EU. On the last day of campaign, there was two hours debate on BBC. When he spoke, people cheered him the same way cheering celebrity stars like Elton Johns.

Dear Anthea,

If Kurdistan were at the same position of UK in EU, it wouldn't have needed independence at all. You see independence is a disguise for something better. Independence is a hidden agenda for something else, something better. If UK outside EU prospered better leaving EU would have been a bless. But all the signs indicate the opposite. All the signs indicate we are going to have a long severe recession and serious problems with Scotland and N Ireland in future. I pray, although I am atheist, these don't happen and UK prospers outside EU.

Severe recession will improve my removal business a lot because of housing crisis. But I wouldn't be happy about that at all. I hate to cash on the misery of other people.

Dear Londoner :ymhug:

You and I both live in the UK

We both know that UK hospitals are suffering from lack of qualified staff

I do not know how long you have been here, so you might not know about the support we received from Commonwealth countries - I have mentioned the Commonwealth in a previous post so will not repeat myself

Over the years the EU has become more and more political and controlling - now it is almost impossible for a qualified non-EU nurse/doctor/surgeon to obtain a position in UK

UK agriculture and fishing have both suffered under EU

For several years EU rules made it difficult for our farms to sell fruit and vegetables that EU classed as sub-standard because it was not exactly the right shape - some farms ended up destroying large parts of their crops that was otherwise fit for human consumption - the rule was changed but many farms did not recover

Example company: JML makes all sorts of handy gadgets - not based in EU but still trades with EU - trades with more than 60 countries that we as EU members are prohibited from trading with

The world is becoming smaller and container ships are becoming larger

UK needs to be able to trade internationally and not be stuck to the confines of the EU

Remember most EU regulations are thought-up by non-elected committees - and about half of those regulations pass directly into EU law without any elected body even discussing them

EU wants to form an EU army and our soldiers would be part of that army - they could be sent anywhere in the world without our consent

UK deserves to make it's own rules - it should not be dictated to - UK fought a war for freedom :D

Someone does not seem to believe that Commonwealth market would be enough, then

Impressive denying of reality.

By the way, if supporters of UKIP are mad with Polish migrants in UK, I am not sure they will happily welcome brown workers coming from India, Burundi, Malawi, Tonga… 8-}

Co-operatin with the EU and trading with them is acceptable

Having EU impose their laws on UK without UK elected officials having any say in them is no longer acceptable and should never have been allowed in the first place

As for Polish people - there are long established Polish communities in the UK - a great many who were born in UK have studied hard and become medical practitioners - a smaller number have taken up other professions - almost all have become professionals

They were horrified some years ago when UK had an influx of Polish gypsies and similarly horrified by the large numbers of uneducated alcoholic Polish men now flooding into the UK - this is NOT racist but a statement of FACT uneducated Polish men are extremely heavy drinkers - UKIP is mild =))

This highlights our main problem: Most of those coming it th UK from EU are unskilled - and UK desperately needs qualified doctors and nurses - yet due to EU regulations it is virtually impossible to recruit from non-EU countries

Many of those from the EU coming to UK are those who are not very well educated - our desperate need is for professionals

Funny that 'gipsies' are Polish in UK, while in France there is a campaign against Romanian gipsies. Seems like each Eastern country sent its own 'gipsies' to a specific UE country, lol.

I cannot remember many of the details - it was just over 10 years ago when - for some reason - UK was inundated with gypsies coming from Poland - I think they did have Romanian routes

German studies might know a great re-start in France :
