I have found an excellent video that explains exactly how the coil works :ymhug:

This video is easy to understand and non-offensive to those of a conservative background - it is also highly informative for females who may not previously been allowed contact with such information

That confirms what I say : Political and religious leaders against abortion are ALSO against contraception.

That is nothing more than propaganda =))

If abortion was as readily available throughout the world 20 years ago as it is in America today - possibly as many as 1 in 5 of our readers would have been flushed down the lavatory

I believe that all life is sacred :ymhug:

I should point out that the original Christian doctrine supported the belief in reincarnation

It was only when the bishops got together and decided to invent hellfire and damnation that they also did away with reincarnation

All this was aimed at furthering the control the Church had over the population :ymdevil:

It was also a belief among Jewish population and then some parts of New Testament insert these allusions concerning reincarnation : when Jews ask to John the Baptist if he is Elijah. Or when Peter said to Jesus that people believe he might be John the Baptist (though he died during Jesus' activity, showing that what Jews call 'reincarnation' might be a transfer from a dead soul to a living soul, as Elijah did to Elisha).

But people were not definitively pro-reincarnation and it was not a systematic event as in hinduism or buddhism. Greeks debated also about that (Socrates and Plato) and as Jews and Christians were deeply hellenized, so that explains it was also a Jewish-Christian debate.

And no, Christianity did not invent Hell. Jews did :D

Hell is in fact a logical answer to the logical objection of divine justice : if the good man suffers on Earth (as Job) while the bad one is wealthy and unpunished, what is the value of Moses' Law ?

Answer : if YWH did not punish immediately, He will do in another world.

Religions which believe in Reincarnation believe also in a 'punishment' : the good one has a nice reincarnation (or do not reborn as in Hinduism and Buddhism) while the bad people will pay their current sins in their next life.

So I don't think that a religion (even paganism) can exist without fear. That is a psychological weapon : God or Gods' revenge happens, soon or late.

Actually Hell must be the invention of ancient Egyptians because they created the concept of God as we know it today. One God religion replaced multi God of Ancient Egyptians. Later Egyptians went back to their old multi God religion. After that the followers of One God religion left Egypt in exodus seeking to find the land of honey and milk, brought with them the concept of One God, which rewards for good things and punishes with Hell for bad things.

yeah, you're right, Ancient Egyptians believed in a bad place for bad souls, and Hebrews could have taken this idea from them, for they have strong cultural ties with Egypt (they might have adopted monotheism inspired by Akhenaton).

Trump and the US-Mexican border wall

I think it is an excellent idea :ymapplause:

The US has a frightening drug problem

Chicago: in the first 8 months of 2016 there were 481 killings and literally countless shootings and knife injuries as drug gangs fight openly on the streets

Those drugs were smuggled in from Mexico

Ask anyone actually living in Chicago - listening to the frequent sound of gunfire - they welcome the fact the finally someone is going to take positive action to get the drugs off the streets

Not only do drugs come across from Mexico - innocent girls hoping to obtain work - many find work only as prostitutes controlled and enslaved by the men who smuggled them across the border - it is thought that many girls die during their captivity and others may be killed when they are no longer useful - the authorities know this happens but at present are powerless to stop it

What does Mexico really think?

Something that so far nobody seems to have mentioned are the guns - the US gangs are actually smuggling guns across the border into Mexico - the Mexican government may not be as unhappy with the idea of a wall as the media and propaganda machines are trying to make out :))

The figures for gun violence are even worse than I thought

A person is shot every

1:75 minutes

A person is murdered every

11 hours 4 minutes

Year to Date

Shot & Killed: 612

Shot & Wounded: 3240

Total Shot: 3852

Total Homicides: 683

Image

For more SHOCKING details follow the link below:

http://heyjackass.com/

I should point out that the figure for those - Shot & Wounded: 3240 - only refers to those who needed medical attention - many with minor injuries will never report the incident

The same goes for the - person is shot every 1:75 minutes - it only applies to reported instances - in a city where people lock themselves in after dark and turn their TVs up so they do not hear the sounds of shooting, the figure for unreported shootings will be considerably higher

I don't think a wall can stop drug epidemic in USA. To stop drug epidemic in America, let Philippine president to take charge. He is doing a good job with drug dealers. But I disagree with his policy about drug addicts. The correct policy about drug addicts is to lose their civil rights and put under compulsory hospitalisation. After they recover, they can get back their civil rights.

Remember the US National Debt Clock:

http://www.usdebtclock.org/

34,040,804 people living in poverty in the US

10,639,746 disabled people in the US

42,757,865 people in the US in receipt of food stamps

In my valued judgment, all of the above are far more deserving of government support than those stupid enough to take illegal drugs

Remember also that the US Total debt is almost

3 TRILLION DOLLARS

America does not have any money to spare on providing support for those suffering self-inflicted injuries X(
