Newroz Oremari

My dear friends I suffered a heart attack and almost died.

Thank God and thanks to our nurses, doctors, and the British government for saving my life.

Some of the dangerous blood clots that caused the heart attack have been opened and removed, and I will return after three weeks to open other, less dangerous arteries and blood clots.

I feel absolutely ok.

Try to be positive,

Many thanks.

At 17 and faced execution over music

A man who fled Iraq due to living in fear over the music he made has now recorded a song at the iconic Abbey Road Studios. Newroz Oremari was born in a town called Zakho in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. He took an interest in singing after copying the sounds of nature and trying to humanise those sounds into singing

One day at school in the 1980s, he sang alongside a famous singer who took him under his wing. He started recording songs but due to the Saddam Hussein regime at the time, he had to do it illegally. He was arrested as a teenager for going against the government.

Newroz, now 62, told MyLondon: "I had to sign a pledge saying that if I ever sang again, even among my friends, I'd be executed and I would have to accept the death penalty. As I was a teenager, they gave me a chance but said this would be the last time. It could be signing anything, a love song but because I was considered a 'dangerous' person - they thought I could provoke people with my music
"When I got to 17, I joined the Kurdish Revolution and became a freedom fighter against the Saddam Hussein regime. I started singing openly against the regime. From there on, I got arrested numerous times and had to move to Syria, then expelled to Lebanon and all of that, my only crime was to be born as a Kuridish singer."

In 1988, the Hussein regime began a campaign of extermination against the Kurdish people living in Northern Iraq. This led to the execution and the attacks on the Kurdish people were characterised as gross violations of human rights including the use of chemical weapons such as sarin, mustard gas and nerve agents. In 1991, millions of people fled to the border of Iran and Turkey while thousands died due to the regime.

Due to these attacks and fearing for his life, in 1989 he escaped and spent years in exile in Syria, Lebanon and Turkey before eventually settling in Hackney, East London. Over the past 30 years, Newroz has worked in many different fields from being an interpreter with Home Office while continuing to sing freely in his native language.

He said: "London has given me everything. I love it. It gave me a job, a passport - this Kurdish man who nobody cared about and all the issues in the Middle East but suddenly I'm in London and I'm free. I used to travel illegally and in fear of my life between Turkey and Iran but I haven't had to do that anymore. I used to live like a slave and it was horrible, I wasn't allowed to speak or express myself freely.

"London gave me love, gave me everything. I could have been extradited to Iraq and I would have been killed but instead, I was looked after and I was blessed."

Newroz then got the chance to record a song at Abbey Road Studios. The studio which is synonymous with The Beatles, has now been graced by the presence of Newroz. He got to record a song with the Woolwich songwriting duo Ooberfuse. Ooberfuse, made up of Cherrie and Hal St John, have toured all over the world and recently recorded their new single 'Show Me Love'. Show Me Love opens 'up on the reality faced by millions of people displaced because of surging hatred in their homelands."

Newroz continued: "When I got into the studio, I was thinking of the John Lennon song 'Imagine'. I started thinking of Abbey Road without Newroz. It was a dream come true. I loved working with Cherrie and Hal as they are both human rights activists. I am so grateful to say I've sung in the same studio as The Beatles. It's a beautiful imagination and feeling.

"Being a refugee isn't easy. Leaving the place you grew up in, you become very attached to it. You only leave if you're forced. I wouldn't have left Kurdistan if I had a choice but there was no way I could live under Saddam Hussein as my people were being killed. The only way I could get out was to escape and flee."

Nawroz Oremari and Tom Donald

Nawroz is a celebrated Kurdish singer with powerful and evocative voice. As a teenager growing up in Iraqi Kurdistan, he was detained and held for singing songs critical of the government regine (then under Saddam Hussein) and was forced to flee

Nawroz spent the next nine years in exile in Iran, Turkey, Syria and Lebanon, before settling in the UK. His extraordinary voice brings to life folk songs from his homeland and elsewhere from his journey. He sings in English, Farsi and Arabic and is a member of the Citizens of the World Choir. You can read more about Nawroz’ music and his extraordinary journey to the UK here: https://www.politicshome.com/members/...

Tom is a pioneering Australian-London-based pianist and composer whose improvisational skill has drawn comparisons to Keith Jarrett, especially noted after his London Jazz Festival appearance at Conway Hall. His groundbreaking performances, including a televised concert at the London Shard on Sky Arts and BBC Radio London, have cemented his place in the fusion of classical and jazz realms. Founder of the London Contemporary School of Piano, a world-class leader in music education innovation for pianists of all ages.

Tom nurtures a global community of students through the London Contemporary School of Piano. His compositions, notably “Symphony of Voices” for UN Refugee Week and “Written in the Scrolls” aired on BBC Radio 3, have been recognized for weaving musical styles and ancient cultures in a modern setting. His latest album “Pax Aeterna” promises another innovative chapter, blending Gregorian chants with jazz piano in collaboration with Pluscarden Abbey’s monks. This latest endeavor encapsulates Tom’s commitment to merging historical depth with contemporary expression, further enriching the tapestry of modern music.

Nawroz and Tom have been performing together for a number of years and the warmth of this collaboration is present in their performance.

Secular friends, atheists, Yazidi brothers, Christians, Zoroastrians, and Jews. Whoever of you worships the enlightened singer and thinker, Newroz, then has died, and whoever worships secularism, it is still alive.

In the past few days, some Islamic parties published a video clip of me that was cut up and the video was manipulated and told people that Nawroz the greatest thinker and head of atheists in all of Kurdistan, now he has returned to Islam, and this is a victory for Islam that is why some atheists and secularists felt angry, frustrated, and abandoned secularism because the head of the secularists Nawroz has abandoned secularism.

My dear friends, as you say that I was the reason for influencing millions of Kurds by publishing logical, dialectical videos, and I also used art and singing to educate people, this is true, but why do you become my slaves?

I opened your minds and hearts so that you can become free, not so that you can worship me, I am neither Hitler nor Stalin or Saddam, I am one like you.

O atheist, why do you become frustrated? I am not an atheist and have never denied God once in my life.

I am against the cult of personalities, I am a person who believes in democracy and Western liberalism. So why do you say that I will leave atheism because Nawroz returned to Islam?

Why do you relate to me? You don't understand atheism yet.

I am a free person living in a free country, today I am a Christian, tomorrow I will become a Muslim.

Bright Blessing to our beloved friend Newroz

Newroz had a minor heart attack at 4am Monday morning

It must have been minor as he is only expecting to remain in hospital a short time

We are hoping he makes a full recovery and becomes strong enough to write/sing more beautiful songs

There is not any other Kurd who has such a wonderful, versatile operatic voice

He always shares his love of Kurdistan through his music, often attending functions with no thought of remuneration, just for the love of Kurdistan and the joy of sharing :ymhug:

Rest well my friend, Kurdistan needs your voice

When Newroz was 17, he joined the Kurdish Revolution and became a freedom fighter against the Saddam Hussein regime. He started singing openly against the regime. From then on, he was arrested numerous times and had to move to Syria, then expelled to Lebanon and all of that, his only crime was to be born as a Kuridish singer :ymhug:

Don't be upset by the truth

Shiites, you don't have the final decision to rule Iraq, the decision is in Iran's hands, and most of you tools are in Iran's hand, and this is the truth, everyone knows it

So instead of agreeing and cooperating with you, we have to agree with Iran, you all know that Iran considers all Iraq and the Gulf is Iranian territories

I personally support the complete independence of Kurdistan from Iraq, because we are Kurds and could never become Iraqis Shiites nor Sunnisas neither are civil, fair, honest democrats who know how to rule with justice
Kurd withdrawal from the political process in Iraq could be the best for us

Several major political, economic, and social consequences, could come abouteither at the level of Iraq as a whole or at the level of the Kurdish territory in particular. Here are some potential consequences for this withdrawal:

1. Increasing tensions between Baghdad and Erbil Political conflict escalates:

Kurds in Iraq are an essential part of the political system, especially in the central government and the Iraqi parliament. If they pull out of the political process, it may lead to escalation of disputes between Baghdad central government and Kurdistan regional government.

2. Tense relations with Shiite-Sunni forces:

The Kurds are often considered an important party in the political balance between Shiite and Sunni forces in Iraq. Their withdrawal may lead to increased polarization, which may reflect internal stability.

The deterioration of national unity: Kurdish withdrawal from the ethnic and religious divisions within Iraq may exacerbate and weaken the unity of the Iraqi state.

3. THE IMPECTS OF THE ECONOMIC Oil and resources issues:

Kurds play an important part in the Iraqi economy, especially in the oil sector. Their withdrawal from the political process may lead to deterioration of relations around the distribution of resources, which may increase tensions in the area..

4. The effects of security Military cooperation: The Kurds are part of the Iraqi armed forces, and in case they withdraw from the political process, this may affect the cooperation between the Kurdish military forces (Peshmerga) and Iraqi forces. This may put the security of the disputed areas at risk as well as the security of Iraq in general. Let's not forget that the current Syrian regime represents the Sunni extremist party hostile to the Shiite rule and will form an alliance with Israel to crush the Shiite dream

Conflict with extremist groups: Withdrawal from the security situation can increase a fragile and lead to increased threats from terrorist organizations like ISIS, especially in border areas.

5. The withdrawal of the Kurds will result in the Arab Sunni greatly increasing in number

6. Impacting the international community. Internationally Iraq will look very weak and prone to collapse at any moment.

7. Impact on the upcoming election with declining Kurdish representation in central government: If withdrawal continues in the upcoming elections, this may affect Kurdish representation in government and parliament, diminishing their ability to influence fateful decisions concerning Iraq's future.

Change in political alliances: The withdrawal of the Kurds may lead to changes in political alliances within the Iraqi parliament, where new alliances may be formed between Shiite and Sunni forces at the expense of Kurds.

In a nutshell: Kurd withdrawal from the political process in Iraq could significantly complicate the internal situation, adding to the security, political and economic risks. It may lead to increased isolation, and weakened stability.

Delighted to see that even though Newroz's body may have slowed down a tad, his brain is fully functioning :D

Abu Al-Az Al-Darzi's response to one of the Egyptian leftist thinkers who are still living in the dreams of the sixties and seventies

Who blames Al-Drouz by joining Israel is considered a national treason and a shame on Al-Druz

Abu al-Azz told him

When a sect is subjected to genocide, a person will first think about saving his life and that of his family

He will abandon his ideal political ideas and his inherited superstitious beliefs

Be in our place, we are the Drouz

What will you do when your country wants to destroy you with all its might?

Where would you go?

The first thing that comes to your mind is to reconsider belonging and godliness

Do I really belong to this country that is killing my people and starving the rest with siege?

Must I die to preserve the unity of the Syrian nationalism that is killing me?

And what will they do in my homeland when I die?

I have sacrificed for my country and what has my country given me?

Could I live in this creepy creepy backward country?

Israel is killing my enemies, I mean my patriots extremists, so should I kill Israel?

Is this real talk that makes sense?

Did he run away?

Where did I run to?

Is there an Arab or Islamic country that accepts me?

Is there an Arab or Islamic state that defended me?

If breaking up saved my life then why is it a shame?

Is it ethical to kill me with a tank and shave my mustache?

What did we get from coercion unit?

When my homeland become my enemy

Is it wrong to reconsider belonging to this traitor country?

Thank God for the success of
my third angioplasty in one year

I left the operating room less than an hour ago

Thanks to my second country, Britain, and the British health system NHS for saving my life for the third time. I received the best treatment in the best hospital in the world

I am indebted to my second country, Britain, for saving my life for the third time. Britain gave me everything: protection, work, education, freedom, art, and love.

The human body is like a car; if you don't take care of your car, it won't get you anywhere. The operation lasted an hour and ten minutes.

In English, they say a heart attack, In reality, the heart doesn't attack, but rather harmful things block the arteries, It's as if you are the king of a castle and there are three water springs flowing into your castle. One day, your enemies attack the three springs, take control of them, and besiege you, Of course, if the water doesn't reach you, you will die of thirst, The same thing applies to blocked arteries in the heart.

Besides a heart attack, there is a brain stroke, and the most dangerous stroke is the stroke of ignorance, the stroke of unconsciousness, or the stroke of logic. Not using logic and reason is the most dangerous disease that a person is exposed to daily
There are those who have a brain that eats, drinks, sleeps, gets angry, rejoices, envies, helps, attacks, but does not think, is afraid of thinking, does not ask, does not doubt, and does not search for material evidence, He does not know what is the right decision and what is wrong and expects to live a happy life.

He does not know anything about logic, philosophy, science, or politics and expects to live a normal, happy life.

It is sad that he does not know how he will get out of one problem and enter ten others. He does not know that even if he does not have any problems

A wicked person is like a ship that has set sail in the sea without a rudder or compass.

As the storm (evil) raged, he thought it was the force controlling him, leaving himself to the currents of anger and ignorance.

But really, it's he who chooses to drown in the depths of the unknown.

Consciousness is the tower that everyone sees from afar, knowing that the storm is about to pass.

Evil is only a foggy moment, and the man who remains in darkness is the one who chooses to remain submerged in the raging sea, rather than to sail toward peace.

The Infamous Sykes-Picot Agreement

The Sykes-Picot Agreement signed between Britain and France in 1916. It's first goal was to quickly divide the Ottoman Empire with a pencil and ruler producing an agreement ratified by many other countries

The agreement imposed boundaries on the fate of the people of the Middle East without asking their consent or taking into account the specifics of the ethnic, religious and cultural of the region

The agreement has created strange artificial entities, as if it had created a deformed human being.

His head look like a donkey head
His mind is a worm mind
The tongue is a poisonous snake.
His heart is a black iron bin
His teeth are a melt tooth
His ears look like bat ears
    His hands the monkey hands
His feet are in the feet of the dog.
Because of this agreement, millions of people have been killed and people have lost trillions of dollars and the problems are still increasing and millions more will be killed because of the foul crime

The crime of Sykes Picot that forced the people of the region into wars, deprivation, poverty, desperation and terrorism

This agreement has distorted everything

Imagine that the Middle East was a natural garden with different colors, flowers and roses.

For example, the color red is the color of Christianity
Color of the sun yellow is color of Kurdistan
Black color is the color of the Arabs.
Blue is the color of the drouse.

Britain and France then won the war and made a rapid military division. They pulled the roots of the roses from their original ground and planted each flower in a isolated place far from the original garden

Some roses are starting to get sick and die, because they were feeding on strange inappropriate soil

Some more roses didn't die but started to fight, some since that ominous history have killed millions and will kill millions more because of the treacherous military decision of the great powers.

Everyday flowers and roses lose their color and fragrance because of the infamous Sykes Picot Agreement

In Turkey, the Turks did actually use a form of weed killer, Agent Orange, as well as Napalm to destroy Kurdish homes, villages, fields, forests, farms and people if they did failed to escape in time

According to me following western flags/info:

Golani has become ISIS and all the crimes that it commits are documented by material evidence ready to give to the international courts, and the intelligence of the western countries is closely monitoring Golani supporters everywhere

According to most western media: The West, the Gulf, Turkey and Israel are using Golani to counter Hezbollah and Iran project in the region

And Golani uses the emotions of the Sunnah, the naivety of Shishani, Afghani etc. to accomplish his projects

Trump got his pay from the Gulf and could flip over the Gulf at any moment

When the American people, media and Congress are not with him, he will change the game and give up what he agreed to without losing anything.

Syria is finished as a country

Because the Syrians themselves do not trust each other and they don't want to live with each other or different tribes or ethnic groups

Syrian unity was a fake unit, a unit made by British and French generals

Previously, the problem of the Arabs was Palestine. Now there are assorted Palestinians, all thanks to Islam extremists and Muslim Brotherhood

Of course, there are Arab Al-Hawaz occupied by Iran but no-one talks about those Arabs, although they are 16 times older than Palestine. The Gulf sold the area to Iran because it does not want the formation of a powerful oil Arab state with a large area that leads all the Gulf countries. 85% of Iran's oil is all from Al-Ahwaz

After what happened to what happened to the Druz It's impossible for Al-Darzi to return to Syria
It is impossible for Al-Al-Al-Wi to live with the Sunni extremists

It is impossible for Kurdish people to live with the fascist national Arab NAZIs with their brutal backward Islamic extremism

Re: Please Pray for Newroz Oremari's Speedy Recovery

PostAuthor: Anthea » Fri Jul 25, 2025 11:44 am

Since 2009, I have explained the origin and roots of hundreds of English, German, Hindi, Latin, Greek, French words etc. that are related to Kurdish language.

And these are the words that I am going to post now,

I have already explained them in my videos.

The English word colonialism means a colonialist who plants and lives in another farmer's land by force and is taken from the Latin word colonus

And it is taken from the Kurdish word kolulan. Kol or kolan, which means digging the ground

Means a farmer when he plows his land.

And it has the same meaning and pronunciation in Latin, English and other languages.
agriculture is also the English word and that means farming

I do not agree with teaching religious education of any religion because religions are based on ignorance and superstition and this is dangerous to children and the society

I'm with building schools to teach children logical, ethical, upbringing based on questioning, research, inquiry and scientific doubt.

I am totally against vaccination

Vaccination is dangerous to humanity.

Vaccination blinds children's mind and this is a great danger to humans
