Yes brother... :) I kind of thought about that, because I do that myself often - to seem more credible, one will gain more respect and supporters by using less fantastic numbers... :

Hey - that's a nice site... :) I'll post it where I found Loose Change...

Oh - and yeah bro... I know... And my mouth and heart are with you... ( )

Sipas birayê min... Toda rabba

A normal distribution, aka A Guassian bell-shaped curve.

As mention, and as demonstrated above, in a normal distribution, 50% of the population is under the mean. This goes for all characteristics which are distributed normally in the population, like SAT scores, IQ, or height.

My point was, argumentum ad populum - i.e. "people say" - is a logical fallacy. As demonstrated, popular opinion is not a good enough justification for holding a belief.

Just to make myself perfectly clear, I was not trying to undermine neither the Kurdish nor the Palestinian suffering. I was demonstrating that I too, preceive the global view of such tragedies as a doublestandard, as Diri stated. However, that does not, in my mind, lower by any means the significance - on the global scale - of US foreign policy - and as consequences of 9/11. Not because US citizens suffering is more important - but because in the global arena of today, America is the only superpower, capable of imposing CHANGE in the world, while other countries, sadly, cannot.

Thanks for the corrections, Diri. My numbers were (purposefully) the most conservative estimates, and even so, it's frightening and shocking. You know my heart is with you :)

However - Loose Change is bollocks. I forward you to this. If you don't care for the humor, just skip to the end, where there's a link to a point-by-point rebuttal of pretty much all the inaccuracies and falshoods in Loose Change.
I haven't watched all of the video yet, but I know there are documentries that have been made for tv, and we can find out anything about the conspiricy theory of 9/11 on google, so why are ALL the epople who make ALL these documentaries, not been killed? Here's a really good one:

And say what you will; as you probably will, as I think you have targeted that video as well. We don't all believe that Bush is so innocent.
