%20 of Azerbaijan's territory has been Occupated by Armenia

PostAuthor: orkhan » Wed Jan 30, 2008 11:23 am

In 1988, Armenian demonstrations against Azerbaijani rule broke out in both NKAO and Armenia. Having begun with organising of the illegal meetings, strikes and actions of disobediences, the Republic of Armenia started to establish the unconstitutional power institutions in the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. The military formations as well as a huge amount of weapons and ammunitions were shipped on the territory of Azerbaijan. A military bridgehead was set up to conduct an armed aggression against Azerbaijan.
Full-scale hostilities in the zone of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict triggered at the end of 1991 - early 1992. Over 30,000 people were killed in the fighting from 1992 to 1994.In 1993 the UN Security Council adopted resolutions calling for the cessation of hostilities, unimpeded access for international humanitarian relief efforts, and the eventual deployment of a peacekeeping force in the region. The UN also called for immediate withdrawal of all ethnic Armenian forces from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. Fighting continued, however, until May 1994 when Russia brokered a cease-fire.
International mediation on the settlement of the conflict takes its beginning from February, 1992, within the framework of so called OSCE Minsk process, which is the only forum on the elaboration of comprehensive model of settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.

The Azerbaijan Republic State was formed only in the 86.000 sq km of the territory of Northern Azerbaijan; the 20 % of the same territory is still under the Armenian occupation. More than 1 million of the 8 millions' of Azerbaijani population are living refugee lives in their own country.

Armenian Diaspora who raised so-called Armenian genocide allegations on the agenda in every occasion, tried to stain Turkey and defended strongly this stance is shaken by a statement of an American senator. Don Barton, member of Committee for international relations of the US Congress called on Congress to recognize Hocali genocide. Barton said in a session of the House of Representatives, "All communities in the world should know and remember this. The US Congress will break silence of international community regarding this issue, which has continued for long years by recognizing Hocali genocide. Although from time to time, it has been called on the Congressmen to recognize "the so-called Armenian genocide" which has no ground, there has been even one word regarding to the Armenian massacre in Hocali.”

He explained that Hocali, an Azerbaijan city, was erased in maps by Armenians in 1992, all of Azerians means the word of Hocali as sorrow, sadness and cruelty and said that "On February 26, 1992 Armenian troops killed 613 persons in Hocali, held 1.275 persons as prisoner of war, broke the families. 1.000 persons were wounded and disabled, also 150 persons were missing”.

Karabakh is inhabited mainly by Armenians - and before the Kurds were deported by the Soviet - they made the majority in Kelbajar and Laçîn provinces... Furthermore - Azerbaijan Republic has also manipulated the number of Kurds who live in Azerbaijan: the Kurds who had to flee from Karabakh and into Azerbaijan are now mainly based in camps and such across the country - and make up only a few thousand according to official records - but in reality make up over 100 000 individuals in Azerbaijan Republic...

Moreover, Azerbaijan has since it's cooperation with Turkey banned the use of Kurdish in official settings - and does not recognize Kurds per say...

Azerbaijan Republic and Turkish Republic also try hard to portray the massacre of Khojali as a "genocide" - but fail to accept their own criminal records against the Kurds, Armenians - and also Assyrians and Greeks in the case of Turkey...

700 Azeris may have been murdered by Armenians in Khojali, but more than 700 000 Armenians were murdered by Turks in Anatolia...

Azerbaijan should (if they support "right") support the right of the Armenians and the recognition of the Armenian Genocide - but instead it denies it... So how can the Azeris expect that Armenia should recognize Khojali?

See? It's all just a game for the Azeris and Turks... They don't realy care... They're putting these same propaganda pictures on all sites they go to - babies who are murdered in the wombs of their mothers etc... And then point fingers to the Armenians...

First stage of Azerbaijani genocide starts with Bolshevik overthrown in 1917 in Russia. In that time, Armenians have massacred thousands of Azerbaijanis under the umbrella of Bolsheviks’ policy. The 31st of March 1918 was a “Saint Bartholomew night” happened in second time in universal history. Armenians had only one reason: “Kill every Turk”. Many thousands of Azerbaijanis were slaughtered in Baku, Shamakha, Guba and at Mugan valley. They have killed at least 50000 Azerbaijanis in one city of Lenkeran. In plus, victims of Armenians in Baku numbered 30000 persons. 7000 killed with particular cruelty in Azerbaijani city of Shamakha. Armenians butchered 1653 women and 965 children in that city. In Azerbaijani city of Guba, 122 Moslem villages were razed to ground, 115 villages were put under pillage in Zangezur, 211 villages in Irevan (current Yerevan)

Turkish prime-minister calls on Armenia to leave Nagorno-Karabakh

An incident occurred between Turkish Prime Minister, Rejep Tayyip Erdogan and Armenian Foreign Minister, Vardan Oskanyan at the 44th Security Conference held in Munich city of Germany.
Erdogan delivered an opening speech at the conference he attended as a special quest, APA reports. After Erdogan finished his speech, Oskanyan asked him why Turkey does not establish diplomatic relations with Armenia. “There is no diplomatic relations between us, our borders are still closed. When we ask the reason, you ground on genocide committed in 1915 and Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. We are not at war with Turkey. Why do not we discuss these issues? Why do not we establish diplomatic relations? We haven’t got any prior conditions as regards it” - he said.

Erdogan answered Armenian Minister’s question very strictly. He noted that he had restored air cargo transportation with Armenia after he became the Prime Minister. We restored a destroyed Armenian Church on Akdamar Island and gave it to our Armenian citizens as a message to Armenia. On the other hand, there are 40.000 Armenians in Turkey now who are not our citizens. Why do they move to my country? We have not got any problem with our Armenian citizens. You should ask yourself why Armenians are moving from Armenia and many other countries of the world to Turkey? Because Turkey is a country of peace!” he said.
Erdogan called on Armenia to release Nagorno-Karabakh they occupied.
“The whole word recognizes Armenia as an aggressor-country in Nagorno-Karabakh. Leave Nagorno-Karabakh! Let thousands, ten thousands, hundred thousands of Azerbaijanis live there. They are our brothers too. Why do not you have forbearance for that? Approach with tolerance to it in order to contribute to the cause of peace in the world. Nagorno-Karabakh events completely disclose who drove out innocent people from their lands and who committed genocide” he said.
Erdogan called on Armenia to give up claims on Armenian genocide, disclose archives and jointly investigate the events of 1915.
