Ahmad el-Kurd - Hamas mayor in Gaza Strip

PostAuthor: dyaoko » Wed Jun 08, 2005 10:00 pm

who is this Ahmad-El-Kurd?
Ahmad el-Kurd, the Hamas-affiliated mayor of the poverty-stricken town of Deir el-Balah in the Gaza Strip....blah blah

he is a member of hamas and his name is Kurd ! how ? is he kurd ?
anybody knows why?

and also our forums hackers name was "Tayfon Kurt" why a Turk's familly name is Kurt...

while we kurd ourself are not allowed to have kurdish names , our enemies hve kurdish names.... why ? may be to make nasty reputation for kurds...

so ppl think hamas is kurdish.

no the "al-kurdi" name is common in the arab orld.. there was a singer (read lousy singer) in jordan called rania al-kurdi. Its as common as finding ppl with names like "al-jazaeri" even if they are not from jazaer (algeria)

Medya - Of course these ar two different things... Kürt - which is pronounced "Kuurt" in English ----- And Kurt is pronounced "Kort" in English...

The first means "Kurd" (Kürt) and the other means "Wolf" (Kurt) ...

Nobody can call themselves Kurd/Kürt or any other name that resembles these names in Turkey... They would throw them out of the country :(

ah crap rebo... y spoil the first name that comes to my head, slap mein the face y dont u
and to make it worse u r right
http://www.raniakurdi.com/bio_page.htm
u have to remember how bad the song "abu yousef" was to really hope there wasn't any kurdish in her
now wat can i use... um my original point was that al-kurdi is not a strange name in arabic countries... like turk or al-turki... theres this egyptian actress called hanan turk and she's definitely fully egyptian.

saving grace
