I just watched the interview with Matran Al-Qas the Syriac Archbishop on KurdistanTV. He spoke in Kurmanji and talked about spirit of brotherhood and tolerance in Kurdistan and insisted on the Kurdistani identity of Syriac/Assyrian/Chaldeans. He also said that the proper name to call their people is '''Suryoye'''.
Mar Rabban is the greatest Kurdistanî. Kurds love him. During Saddam's era he helped peshmerga by giving them food and drugs. And now he is one the best builder of Kurdistanî citizenship. He made a school in Duhok for girls and boys, yezidi, muslim and christian, where thy learn sciences and foreign language but more important, where they learn to live together, without discrimination.
I agree with him that Syryoye is a better name that this impossible "Assyrian-Chaldean-Syriac" term
