Shooting report at Connecticut primary school

Police are responding to reports of a shooting at a primary school in Newtown, Connecticut, local media have reported.
Schools across the district are on lock-down as a preventive measure, the school superintendent's office said.
Police have arrived at the school and evacuations are under way, multiple reports say.
State police spokesman Lt Paul Vance described the situation as an active scene.
There are unconfirmed reports of two shooters, according to a report in the local Hartford Courant newspaper.
Local media report that at least one gunmen may have been killed.
Police received a call shortly after 09:40 local time (14:40 GMT) and reported that a gunman was in the school's main office. One person there had "numerous gunshot wounds", the newspaper added.
